SEU kept the pressure on after the break. Madelyn Davidson scored two minutes into the second half, Lozano followed with her second in the 51st minute from Laface, and Grace Banker capped the night with her first of the year in the 68th minute — also assisted by Laface.

Soccer“Mad Dog” opens the season the right way: Carnation’s Madelyn “Mad Dog” Davidson opened her final collegiate season last night doing what she does best – score goals for her Southeastern University of Florida women’s soccer team.The 2021 Cedarcrest High School alumnus took a defensive misplay and chipped it home into the back of the net for her first goal of the season in the 47th minute, part of what was a 7-0 Fire trouncing of regional rival Thomas University of Georgia in the season opener for Southeastern last night in Lakeland, FL.Davidson started and worked 59 minutes with the goal coming on her lone shot on goal; she had two shots total in the game. A total of five different players pocketed tallies in this one for the NAIA squad, including a pair each from Davidson’s teammates Sarah Irurozki and Ariadna Lozano.Southeastern now hits the road for six straight games and will not be back on campus hosting anyone until a month from now on September 24. The road swing begins on Wednesday with an afternoon test against Webber International University in nearby Babson Park.
