It has been a busy couple of days for Cedarcrest High School grad Madelyn Davidson. “Mad Dog” and her Eastside FC 18U girls’ teammates are this week on home soil in Redmond competing for the ECNL national championship, one of the top titles in youth club soccer on the girls’ side. They are playing an Ohio team this morning to wrap things up after going 0-2 in their first two games at the event. EFC dropped a 4-1 decision Thursday to Ohio-based Internationals SC, then fell 5-2 yesterday to Richmond United from Virginia. Davidson, bound for Florida’s Southeastern University this fall, scored goals in both games.
She is as far as we know the only Valley athlete on Eastside participating in this weekend’s tournament, which has drawn teams from all over the United States to western Washington seeking that significant national title.
The championship in this event will be on Monday morning, with all games taking place at the venerable 60 Acres soccer complex north of Redmond’s downtown core.](https://madelyn.the-davidsons.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/image.png)
